James Marvin
James Marvin practices in the areas of Construction and Design Law, Insurance Law, Tort Law, and Oil and Gas Leases. He also provides Mediation and Arbitration services. Mr. Marvin is actively involved in the design community; for many years, he was the chairman of the Consulting Engineers Counsel of Oregon (CECO) legislative committee, where he wrote new laws and headed many successful efforts to pass legislation on behalf of the design community. Specifically, CECO was successful in passing qualification-based selection legislation and several substantive changes to the engineering statutes. In addition, Mr. Marvin was one of the organizers of the Construction Law Section of the Oregon State Bar and was one of the founders of the Oregon State Bar Professional Liability Fund.
